World-Class Piano Intensive in New York Features Carnegie Hall Performance and Juilliard-Curtis Faculty

New York City — The NOVA Pathway Piano Intensive will be held from January 29 to February 6, 2026, bringing together an exceptional international faculty and a new generation of young pianists for an immersive period of intensive study and performance in the heart of Manhattan. The program culminates with a performance at Carnegie Hall, reinforcing NOVA Pathway’s growing presence as a serious and high-impact platform for artistic development at the highest level.

Presented by the Pacific Rim International Music & Education Society in collaboration with Music Pathway, the NOVA Pathway Piano Intensive is designed to offer participants not only rigorous instruction, but also direct engagement with the professional standards, artistic values, and performance expectations of the international concert stage. Taking place steps away from the Empire State Building, the program situates its participants in one of the world’s most concentrated cultural environments — where music-making is not merely training, but a lived professional reality.

This year’s intensive brings together an elite roster of Faculty Artists widely recognized for their influence across major conservatories and professional circles. The faculty includes Lydia ArtymiwProfessor Emeritus of University of MinnesotaEdward Han JiangRCM Honorary Fellow and Steinway Artist. Also featured are Robert McDonaldProfessor of Curtis & Juilliard School of Music; and Yong-Hi MoonProfessor of Peabody ConservatoryWei-Yi YangProfessor of Yale University; and Yi-Heng YangProfessor of Juilliard School of Music. Together, the faculty reflects a rare concentration of artistic pedigree and pedagogical authority — drawing from institutions that have shaped generations of leading performers.

The intensive is guided by a committee led by Alicia Jinyi Liu, together with Meiqiao Wang and Aaron Tian, whose combined experience ensures both the artistic rigor and operational excellence of the program. Under their direction, NOVA Pathway continues to position itself not simply as a short-term training experience, but as a structured and purposeful pathway for young artists seeking long-term growth.
